She suggests readers create a capsule wardrobe with patterns that use a variety of fabrics and colors to create versatile pieces. Each garment is modeled by either the author or someone from her social circle. Readers who are just getting started with sewing, or have been creating pieces for a long time, will find useful patterns and tips in this book. Especially intriguing are suggestions for trying different sleeve lengths as well as dress and skirt hemlines, a tote bag with a removable strap, headbands, and even a button-down shirt that can be made multiple ways, with or without pockets.
